Overview
ACCELQ is designed with architectural flexibility at its core to meet the diverse security, operational, and compliance needs of modern enterprises. This article provides a comprehensive overview of our supported hosting and deployment models, helping you understand the options and choose the one that best aligns with your organization's strategy.
To understand these models, it's important to recognize the two primary components of the ACCELQ ecosystem:
- ACCELQ Platform: The central, browser-based server where users design tests, manage test assets, view reports, and collaborate.
- ACCELQ Local Agent: A lightweight, secure application installed within your network that executes tests against your applications.
The key to ACCELQ's flexibility lies in how these two components can be configured.
Detailed Deployment Models
ACCELQ supports four primary deployment models: Public Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Private Cloud, and On-Premise. We've detailed them below from our most popular configuration to models offering maximum client control.
1. Public Cloud with Hybrid Execution (Recommended Model)
This is our most popular and powerful deployment model, offering an optimal balance of zero-maintenance SaaS with the robust security required for testing internal applications.
- Architecture: The ACCELQ Platform is hosted and fully managed by ACCELQ on our secure multi-tenant cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP). The ACCELQ Local Agent is installed within your private network, behind your firewall.
- Key Characteristics & Benefits:
- Zero Platform Maintenance: All platform upgrades, backups, and security are handled by ACCELQ.
- Maximum Security for Your Applications: This architecture does not require you to open any inbound firewall ports or expose your applications-under-test (AUT) to the public internet.
- Secure Communication: The Local Agent initiates a secure, outbound-only "pull" connection to the ACCELQ Platform to fetch test instructions and report results. Your internal systems remain completely isolated and secure.
- Best For: The vast majority of enterprises, including those in regulated industries, who want the operational benefits of a SaaS platform without compromising their internal security posture.
2. Private Cloud Deployment
This model is for clients who require the benefits of a cloud-native platform but need complete data and resource isolation for regulatory or corporate policy reasons.
- Architecture: A dedicated, single-tenant instance of the ACCELQ Platform is deployed for your organization. This can be hosted and managed by ACCELQ on a dedicated cloud infrastructure or deployed within your own Virtual Private Cloud (VPC). Execution still typically occurs via Local Agents for the same security benefits as the Hybrid model.
- Key Characteristics & Benefits:
- Complete Data Isolation: Your platform instance and data are not shared with any other customer.
- Managed Service Option: Combines the ease of a managed service with the security of a private, dedicated environment.
- Flexible Execution: Leverages the same secure Local Agent architecture for test execution.
- Best For: Organizations in finance, healthcare, or government with stringent data isolation and compliance mandates.
3. Full On-Premise Deployment
This model provides your organization with maximum control over the entire ACCELQ environment.
- Architecture: Both the ACCELQ Platform and the Local Agents are installed and hosted within your own data center and on your own infrastructure.
- Key Characteristics & Benefits:
- Complete Control: Your internal IT and security teams manage the entire infrastructure stack, network, and data security.
- Supports Air-Gapped Environments: Ideal for organizations with networks that are completely disconnected from the public internet.
- Best For: Government agencies or enterprises with the strictest data governance policies that prohibit the use of any cloud services.
