A Tenant admin can configure password policy to comply with their organization's authentication requirements. You can configure this by logging into the admin portal as Tenant Admin and navigating to Security & Authentication tab. Various parameters listed below, can be configured:
- Minimum length: You can set up minimum length required for a password, up to a limit of 32 characters .
- Uppercase letters: Set the number of uppercase letters to be required in a password . Set this value to 0 to not impose this restriction.
- Lowercase letters: Set the number of lowercase letters to be required in a password . Set this value to 0 to not impose this restriction .
- Special characters: Set the number of special characters to be required in a password . Set this value to 0 to not impose this restriction.
- Numeric characters . Set the number of numeric characters to be required in a password . Set this value to 0 to not impose this restriction .
- Password expiration. Set the number of days after which a password expires . User will be required to set a new password after this limit.
When password configuration is updated, the Tenant admin can choose to either invalidate and expire all existing passwords or retain and allow existing passwords until the next password expiry.
Note: With Enterprise subscription, you can also enable Single Sign On based on your enterprise IDP, in which case the password policy is not applicable.
