Configuring SSO for GitHub

Here are the steps necessary to configure GitHub as your SSO to authenticate on ACCELQ.

Step 1: From the Tenant Admin portal, select “Security and Authentication” from the left panel

Step 2: Then in the “SSO Authentication” tab Choose “GitHub” as “Identity Provider"

Step 3: Copy the endpoint URL from the displayed fie

Step 4: Open a new browser tab and navigate to your GitHub Account (github.com). Sign in to github.com with your credentials.

Step 5: Navigate to github.com/settings/developers. Click on "Register a new application"

Step 6: Paste the endpoint URL from step 3 in the "Authorization callback URL". Provide an application name and root url for ACCELQ as "Homepage URL". Then Click on "Register Application". 

Step 7: Copy the "Client ID", "Client Secret" from GitHub and paste inside the "Client ID", "Client Secret" fields in ACCELQ SSO window. Then click on "Save".
