The ACCELQ application UI layout is divided into 5 parts:
- Side Navigation Bar
- Tabs Area
- Global Toolbar Area
- User Profile & Project Config Area
- Help Center
Side Navigation bar
The side Navigation bar groups the application into logical sections, and makes it easy for the user to navigate from one section to another. The Navigation bar consists of Universe, Navigator, Resources, and Results.
The ACCELQ application UI is designed to allow the opening and editing of multiple test assets simultaneously. When you are working with related test entities, it is very helpful to maintain the context and keep switching between those seamlessly.
The first tab is a fixed tab and cannot be removed. The content of this fixed tab depends on the section you are in. For example, when you click on the Navigator section from the sidebar the fixed tab will show the Navigator grids.
The other tabs represent the open entities and get opened when you click on the asset name. These can be closed if needed. In general, depending on your screen resolution and size you should be able to see 5-6 tabs on the tab area. The overflowing tabs go under the tabs list which can be accessed from the arrow icon next to the last tab.
Global Toolbar area
The global toolbar area consists of actions that are commonly accessed and applicable across the application. This toolbar consists of Global Search, New Entity creation, Activity Log, and Run button.
- Global Search
Global Search is an extremely powerful feature in the ACCELQ application which helps you to quickly search and navigate to your desired asset. To make finding the desired asset easier, the search result list can be filtered based on the asset type.
- New Entity creation
New assets can be created from the global toolbar. No matter where you are in the application, click on the New Entity icon and select the asset type you would like to create.
- Activity Log
The activity log lists project-level activity in chronological order. Detailed change history can be tracked by opening the test asset, while this log shows highlevel updates on entities.
- Run button
A global Run Button enables you to execute a Scenario or a Test Suite. You can also schedule a CI job or schedule a Run from here.
User Profile & Project Configuration Area
User Account card shows the Name and Role assigned to the user and the Project you are currently working on. You may also switch to a different Project from here. It also has the links to change the password, edit profile info, and to logout of the account.
The Project Configuration allows you to manage administrative and other settings for the Project. You will be able to access these settings depending on the role you have been assigned. Only Project Admin and Tenant Admin have access to edit/modify these settings.
You can manage Project related settings like Custom fields, App Environments, User Setup, etc. You can set up your integration channel for Defects and Requirements etc.
ACCELQ application has a floating Help Center in the right-bottom corner.
