Release Notes |
Version 1.8 |
April 4, 2018 |
This April's release brings some exciting new features that further strengthen accelQ's core automation capabilities. Here is a summary of new additions:
Result grid pagination
Results grid is now paginated with latest 25 results displayed in the first page. This allows user to focus on most recent test runs without being bogged down by historical runs. It also improves the initial loading performance of results grid. You can navigate through pages either with "next", "prev" buttons or to a specific page by just inputting the page number.
Note: Search filter on the top of Results grid still works across all the results in the system (not just the currently visible page)
Test result consolidation
This powerful feature enhances the "re-run" capability by combining multiple and related runs together in a consolidated view. From an existing test result, you can re-run a select set of test cases (including a pre-defined filter for failed test cases). All the re-runs originating from the same original test execution are combined as a group in the result grid. Additionally, summary email report and the pdf report consolidate test cases by bringing the latest execution result for each test case.
External test result access
It is now possible to access rich HTML test reports in accelQ without having to login. When the result completion email is sent, it includes an externally accessible link, so the users can review the results without the need to login.
Note: This feature is available only on Enterprise edition of accelQ subscription.
Test case Import template
accelQ allows importing test cases from an excel sheet. This excel sheet includes all the columns corresponding to the parameters required for a Scenario. You can now download a Template specific to a Scenario. You can insert test cases in the template for a subsequent import.
This feature is available from the "File browse" dialog while attempting to import test cases (in the Test Case sidebar of a Scenario).
Download existing test cases
You can now download existing test cases for a Scenario. This feature is available from the Test Case sidebar of a Scenario. You may find this feature handy
- Save current test cases in excel format
- Update existing test cases when the Scenario parameter requirement is changed
- Add additional test cases and re-import
- Project cloning
Project Cloning
Tenant Admin can now clone an existing project. This creates a new project as a copy of an existing project with all the entities and data. Test Results and Test Suites are currently excluded from the clone. This feature can be accessed from the Tenant Administration section of the Config page.
Data Type redesign
Data Type entity page is now redesigned to be consistent with the other major entities in the system. Left-nav based navigation is moved to a sidebar based approach which makes the interactions lot more fluid and interactive. Entering data values is now easier than before with a data-entry look and feel.
Enhanced user interaction for Plug-In
View Analyzer/Recorder plug-in is now enhanced for better user interaction and usability. You will find the instructions and configuration settings more intuitive to follow.
Bug fixes and stability enhancements
This release also includes some bug fixes and stability enhancements across the system.
