Steps involved in reconciliation of a UI element

Element Reconciliation is the process, where

• an element’s abstraction is resolved by mapping to an existing element in the Context’s View or
• mapping an existing element in a View to a newer version in another View belonging to the same Context. 

Here are the steps involved in element reconciliation:

1. Open the View in the Context where the new element is available.
2. Hover over the required (new) element, right-click, and select 'Save As' from the 'Element' menu
3. The Element Explorer will display the identification criteria for the new element. Review the element details and click Save.
4. A 'Save As' dialog appears with a list of existing elements available for reconciliation. Select the appropriate element to be reconciled and click 'Create Element'.
   
   
   

At the end of this process, all usages of an abstract element are replaced with the new element.
