Supplying test data/information while kicking off a test run

Runtime Parameters features is built exactly to cater to this requirement. In the Resources module, define a Runtime Parameter with appropriate characteristics. Various types are supported:

• Text
• List
• Multi-Select
• Date
• Description
• Boolean

Once a Runtime Parameter is defined, it is available at Scenario step level to fill as a value for one of the Action’s parameters (either through Parameter overriding or in a Data Table cell).  This feature is helpful in situations where the value of a parameter is variable for every test run.
