You can review and edit the test cases contained in a suite from the Test Cases tab. Test cases cannot be added or deleted directly, but the listing is influenced by updating the Scenario list or filters or Requirements depending on the type of suite.
Editing Test Cases
In the top header section in the Test Case listing tab, hover and click on the Scenario definition line or test case filter line. It opens appropriate modals to update.
Alternatively, click on the Edit button in the side and choose one of the options to edit.
- Static suite: You can add/remove/re-order Scenarios, which are manually selected.
- Filter suite: You can update the Scenario filters, which impacts the selection of scenarios for the suite.
- Requirement based suite: You can update the list of Requirements tagged with this suite, which influences the Scenarios brought into the suite.
- For all three types of suites, you can edit test case filters.
Test Case and Scenario View
Test case listing can be switched between Test Case and Scenario views. When you change to Scenario View, all the test cases are listed with its parent Scenario view. Scenario name is displayed in the first column and test case names are displayed in the second column.
Scenario View allows you to analyze how many test cases are picked from each scenario. Sometimes, test case filter may completely eliminate all the test cases belonging to a particular Scenario and this view provides clarity in display of such occurrences.
