Views in an Action
When you define an action, you specify the Owner/Origin context. This is the context where the action is defined. And the action has access to all the views and elements belonging to this context.
When you are in the action detail page, at the bottom of the screen, click "Views" tab. This opens up thumbnails for existing views from the owner context. You can also analyze a new view from here. When you do that, the view is added to the owner context, and thus shared with all actions belonging to this context. Same thing happens when you add an element from here. This element becomes available to all the actions that belong to this context. It is very important to understand this relationship.
All the operations available on a View in the context are also available when you are navigating in an action. In addition, you can also select a command on an element, to insert in the logic.
Working on View Canvas
Hovering on the canvas, rectangular areas are drawn identifying the enclosing element in the view for the current position of the cursor. Right-click on the rectangular area to access the contextual menu.
