Subscription: Add-On Availability: Release 6.0
Live Add-ons bring a new level of efficiency to automation by integrating platform-specific assets directly into your project. These assets are managed and kept up-to-date by ACCELQ Marketplace vendors, ensuring compatibility with the latest releases of cloud platforms such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics. By utilizing Live Add-ons, you can save significant time and effort compared to building automation assets from scratch. Customers typically save 80% of the effort involved in cloud app automation by using Live Add-ons.
Connecting to Live Add-on
To use Live Add-ons in your projects, follow these steps:
- Make sure your tenant is subscribed to one or more Live Add-ons.
- Log in as a Project Admin and open the Admin portal.
- Click on "Live Add-ons" in the left-navigation menu.
- You will see a list of available add-ons from your subscription.
- To add an add-on to your project, click on the "Add to Project" button.
Note: Each project can manage its own set of selected add-ons.
Live Add-on Indicators
When you log in, you will find an indication in the lower left corner of the application for the Add-ons to the Project is currently connected.
Also, when you click the Project sidebar from the top nav of the application, you will find the list of Live Add-ons.
Once you start using the assets from an add-on, the Actions grid under the Navigator also lists down the used Actions. You can also apply a filter in the Actions grid to identify which Actions are currently consumed from Live Add-ons.
Editing and Managing a Live-Action
While Action logic, element selectors, and other resources are managed by the add-on, a subscribing Project can edit the following attributes. This editability is provided so that the subscribing Project can manage the interface of the Action as appropriate for its use case.
- Action name and description
- Origin and destination Contexts
- Status, tags, and other custom fields
- The data source for the input parameters
- Flag to turn on/off Scenario access to the Action
Note: "Library"/"Init" flags as set by the Live add-on cannot be modified by the subscriber.
Updating Live Add-on
Live Add-ons are built and managed for a target third-party application such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics etc. As the underlying 3-P applications go through changes as part of their own release cycles, it is necessary for your own project to update the Live assets.
With the Live Add-ons, it is a simple one-click process. You will find an alert icon in the lower-left corner of ACCELQ, over the Live Add-on logo. Simply click the alert icon and follow the instructions.
It is important to note that Live Add-on maintains support for at least two releases of the target application concurrently. Depending on your own upgrade cycle, you may choose when to update your ACCELQ Project assets to a newer Release of the vendor. You may also have two different Projects connected to two different Release of Live Add-on support.
Here is an article about how the changes in Live-Addons can be managed.
Removing Add-on from a Project
To remove Live Add-ons in your project, follow these steps:

- Click on "Live Add-ons" in the left-navigation menu.
