So, what’s new…

Test Design & Development

UX/Navigation Enhancements: New interaction and navigation in the app for further ease of use and productivity improvements. This includes completely redesigned top-navigation and left-navigation controls.

Multi Document View: Enhanced fluidity, with an ability to work with multiple related entities in one view. You can now keep a Scenario and all related actions in multiple tabs in the same session allowing you to seamlessly switch between the entities.

Test Automation

Action Destination concept expanded : 4 different options to define destination context for an action, making it possible to cover every possible test situations. Here is an article with further details.

Support for Mainframe Testing: Green screen automation is now part of natural language logic development. You can seamlessly combine Web, API and mainframe testing in one simple flow. Details here.

Extensions to Back-end and middle-ware testing capabilities: It is now possible to automate Rabbit MQ message interactions/verifications and Mongo DB (NoSQL database) from accelQ logic editor.

Test Execution

Local Agent: New runtime capability to allow local execution of tests behind your firewall, while the server is hosted on the cloud. Extensively configurable with parallel executions and concurrent job controls. Eliminate the dependency on Selenium grid. More details.

Agent Health Tracking: All new Agent Management capability to monitor health of execution agents. With a simple red/green dot indicator, it is easy to monitor and quickly take action to address any execution host performance issues.

Execute Selected Test Cases: When you run a Test Suite, or a data driven Scenario, you can now select a subset of test cases to run. It allows greater flexibility depending on your execution requirements from time to time. Here is how

Test Management & Reporting

Reporting Enhancements: Enhanced experience of test reports; a clear sidebar view to list of test cases, perspectives for easy decision making, fine grained status displays etc. A thoroughly revamped test report makes it easy to analyze test results and perform actionable steps.

Future Scheduled Jobs: Future scheduled jobs are now tracked in a separate tab from the actual test results. Viewing and managing scheduled jobs becomes easier.

Test Management & Integrations

New Jira Plugin for bi-directional traceability: Native Jira plugin to display coverage against user stories. Ability to navigate to accelQ test Scenarios from Jira dashboard. You can now track coverage for your sprint right from Jira.

API Integrations: Open API made available for continuous monitoring of test results on external dashboards. Open API is also released for custom integrations to CI cycle. If you are not using one of the industry standard CI tools such as Bamboo, TeamCity, Jenkins etc, you can now build your own custom integration using the API.

Administration & Operations

Incremental Code Generation: Natural Language logic conversion to programming constructs happens passively and incrementally, significantly accelerating the test kick-off. System intelligently detects changes occurring across the system and optimizes the code generation requirement, so the user experience is enhanced.

Asynchronous Project Cloning: Project cloning is now executed asynchronously and on a lower priority thread, so that normal operations are not hindered.

API testing enhanced with support for form-type payloads.
