accelQ provides a facility to rerun test cases as needed, for a given test execution effort. Consider you are running a test suite with hundreds of test cases, for a specific intent such as "Release 3.0 Regression". It is possible that some of these test cases may fail either due to application configuration issues, or other environment issues. Some times, application slowness could have caused failures due to timeouts.
In all of these situations, it becomes necessary to rerun a subset of test cases. accelQ facilitates this process by
- allowing the user to select a subset of test cases to rerun. (know more)
- consolidating the result from all such reruns into one main report
Consolidated report refers to an automatically generated view of test results from multiple reruns. For each test case, system picks the latest run and pulls into the consolidated report. This makes sharing and analyzing the test report very seamless and gives unified view to the test execution status.
When you open the report of test run from the result grid, consolidated view is opened by default. From here, it is possible to navigate to one of the individual rerun reports by clicking the link on top right corner.
Note: It is important that all the reruns are aimed at a particular execution effort which requires unified view from analysis perspective. Do not combine multiple unrelated test execution requests with this feature.
