accelQ provides an ability to select a subset of test cases from existing test result and execute again.
In situations where you need to rerun failed test cases, this feature comes in very handy. In case some of the test cases in a suite failed either due to issues with environment or application configuration, you can just rerun the failed test cases without having to duplicate entire execution effort. accelQ automatically consolidates the result from all such instances of executions and presents a unified view of test report. (what is a consolidated report?)
To rerun a test suite or a scenario, open the existing test result from the results list. On the top right corner, click on “ReRun” button. You have the following options to choose from:
- Entire Test Suite/Scenario
- Failed Test Cases
If you select the "Entire test Suite" then the complete suite or scenario will run and it will be treated as a separate execution effort.
If you select the “Failed Test Cases”, the system presents a list of test cases that were part of the original run with the failed test cases pres-elected. Review the selection list and kick off the test again.
