Element refers to a UI field or control that the Action logic interacts with. Elements are applicable for UI Contexts only and are centrally managed at Context level. All the Actions belonging to a Context share the same set of elements. Element Repository lists all the elements applicable for a given Context.
Element could be pointing to concrete visual element from a View or could be defined as "abstract", to allow working with elements that are not yet part of a View. The latter case is possible when the application UI screens are still under development.
Identifying an Element
Element identification involves setting up attributes so as to uniquely identify the element in the whole page. This is an important step in setting up automated test logic and accelQ supports comprehensive approach to build reliable identification criterion.
Advanced Element Selector
This feature allows the user to setup advanced selector for an element to address exceptional requirements.
Reconcile an Abstract Element
accelQ supports concurrent automation with an intelligent abstraction of application elements. This features allows mapping an abstract element to a concrete element on a UI screen.
