Test Readiness of a Test Suite is a heuristic based, composite evaluation of readiness of test artifacts. Various elements that make up the final Test Suite are evaluated; appropriate weightage is applied and consolidated to arrive at an approximate indicator. As the Sprint cycle or Release cycle progresses, this indicator gives a big picture evaluation of readiness status on a day to day basis. Further details can be found by examining various test entities in the Universe sidebar.
- Test Development Status indicates the approximate effort-readiness to satisfy the testing needs for the Test Suite. It helps analyze approximately how much more test development effort is required (as a percentage of total effort) to reach the finish line.
- Test Execution Readiness indicates the percentage of test cases that are fully ready to be executed. Various test development and environment dependencies affect the readiness of test cases for execution. The portion of test cases that are not yet ready will show up as failures during test execution, due to incompleteness of test assets.
